Who we need

We are adding a Service Technician to our team in St. Catharines; someone who is equally comfortable communicating with clients to understand the issues at hand as they are working hands-on to solve mechanical challenges. We are looking for a Service Technician who shares our passion for enriching the lives of the clients we work with.

Who you are

You are an empathetic listener, curious problem solver and friendly communicator who doesn’t like being stuck behind a desk. You’re looking to marry your hands-on expertise and understanding of mechanical issues with our passion for outstanding customer service and high quality mobility equipment. You want to play a role in improving the quality of life for our clients by fixing wheelchairs and mobility equipment. You are someone who likes smaller, tight-knit teams and wants to work with us to achieve our common purpose; make life accessible.

What you will do:

  • Assemble assistive devices. Working out of St Catharines office, you will be responsible for assembling new equipment for sale and coordinating equipment preparation for assessments.
  • Repair mobility devices. Working out of our Care Centre, you will deliver, install and repair custom mobility equipment throughout the Niagara region. You will:
    • Evaluate and resolve issues clients are having with their equipment.
    • Fix manual and power mobility devices, elevating products, as well as electrical systems within devices onsite and in-store.
    • Program and set-up basic power and mobility equipment.
  • Provide outstanding customer service. Our service technicians are the face of our company and are known for delivering excellent customer experiences. In this role, you will ensure customer needs are met and that we meet our objective to make life accessible.
  • Be flexible and mobile. You will travel to different sites and client’s homes within and around St. Catharines. 

What you bring:

  • Technical Skills. You have previous experience with mechanical or manufacturing diagnostic tools, dispatch scheduling tools and/or knowledge of HME (Home Medical Equipment). 
  • Passion and empathy. You love to be hands-on and your best friend is your toolbox. You thrive on both successfully fixing machines/equipment and seeing the difference you’re making in your clients’ lives. You can navigate any situation in a friendly, professional and compassionate manner. 
  • Willingness to learn. You thrive in an environment where you work with your hands and are able to pick up new skills quickly. You have the desire to learn and, as a small team, you have the support as well.
  • Additional must-have requirements. You can lift up to fifty (50) pounds to move or repair equipment and devices. You have a valid G class driver's license and clean driving record; travel to client sites is required however you will be provided with a company vehicle. You have a clean criminal background check and are bondable.
